Salomon Lotus: Best Women’s Snowboards

What’s not to like about a soft, all-mountain park twin? I have not ridden this specific snowboard personally, but generally like the Salomon snowboards and have read good things. This snowboard is the ultimate compromise for someone who isn’t quite sure if they want to ride groomers all day or go in the park. The snowboard has an especially soft flex, which means it’s very forgiving and easy to learn on. Though it does stand-up to some carving, it may feel a bit gooey when trying to really rip aggressive turns.

Based on the specs, the Salomon Lotus would be a good snowboard for beginners looking to make mellow carves, eventually float a few powder turns or slip through the terrain park. The price is pretty reasonable, making it a nice choice if you are just starting out. The downside is if you progress into a really aggressive rider, the snowboard may be a bit too soft and you may want to upgrade to a more substantial snowboard.

What size snowboard to buy?
Select the snowboard size based on your weight according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. If you are between sizes, going with the smaller size can be easier to learn on. Snowboarders can often ride more than one size of the same snowboard.
