Burton Joystick: Best Mens Snowboards

Rick rode the Burton Joystick for one season after buying it on proform. The Joystick is Burton’s ‘stiffer’ rockered snowboard. The rocker makes it very forgiving for freestyle and learning, but once you know what you are doing, you can still get a lot out of the Joystick. The Joystick is a snowboard that is meant for the entire mountain–if that is your end goal, it is a great choice.

Because it is versatile yet forgiving, the snowboard will last many seasons. New riders won’t out grow the Joystick when they progress and advanced riders won’t get bored.

What size snowboard to buy?
Select the snowboard size based on your weight according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. If you are between sizes, going with the smaller size can be easier to learn on or take in the park. If you are a more aggressive, fast rider looking to make big carves, a slightly longer snowboard. Snowboarders can often ride more than one size of the same snowboard.

The Burton Joystick comes with the Channel for mounting bindings. The Channel allows the rider to slide the bindings along a center groove for more stance flexibility. You’ve got to have Burton ICS compatible bindings (or ICS binding discs) to work with the Channel.
