Rome Vinyl: Best Women’s Snowboards
The Rome Vinyl tops my list of “Best Women’s Beginner Snowboards” because it is a forgiving snowboard suitable for beginners; but you won’t outgrow it once you master snowboarding. The Rome rep told me it was inspired by the Burton Feelgood, and I admit it was very similar but a lot cheaper. It’s a great value that will last from the bunny hill to the terrain park and black diamonds.
It is soft enough to make nice mellow turns, rode switch easily, was maneuverable enough for quick surface spinning, had lots of pop and still held up well to more aggressive carving. It felt light under my feet and was able to run through both tight turns and long arcs.

What size snowboard to buy?
Select the snowboard size based on your weight according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. If you are between sizes, going with the smaller size can be easier to learn on. Snowboarders can often ride more than one size of the same snowboard.
