Rome Agent: Best Men’s Snowboards
Rick tried to Rome Agent at a snowboard demo and found it to be a solid performing all-mountain snowboard. The Agent is the Rome version of an all-mountain, do-it-all snowboard. It’s a milder flex, so it’s forgiving for beginners and general freestyle shenanigans. The mild flex makes it fun for butters and other flat land tricks. It’s totally capable in the terrain park, but really fun on groomers, steep runs and whatever other terrain you come across in the mountains.
The Rome Agent was designed by one of the original designers of the Burton Custom. In a blind taste-test, I’m not sure the average rider could tell the difference between the two. Because it isn’t too stiff, it is still a good board to learn on, and like the Custom, it will last you well past the beginner stage. It rides kind of like a Burton Custom but it’s cheaper, so it’s a great value.
If you are looking for a great all-mountain snowboard that will last you for several seasons, the Rome Agent is a solid choice.

What size snowboard to buy?
Select the snowboard size based on your weight according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. If you are between sizes, going with the smaller size can be easier to learn on or take in the park. If you are a more aggressive, fast rider looking to make big carves, a slightly longer snowboard. Snowboarders can often ride more than one size of the same snowboard.
