Burton Sherlock: Best Men’s Snowboards

I got the Sherlock the first year it came out based on some early internet reviews. It sounded like an interesting snowboard. I got it and LOVE IT! The Burton Sherlock is a very fun, playful and great performing board. It isn’t too stiff or soft and it has a unique shape. This shape helps the board to float very easy in powder (almost as well as a tapered powder board). It also gives the Sherlock a unique feel on groomers. The Sherlock has a very tight turn radius (around 6 meters when a normal board is 8 meters). This makes for a very fun ride. Quick turns are very easy, but it can feel a little ‘different’ when you ride it for the first time.

The Sherlock also does very well in the park, I used mine as my main snowboard in Minnesota.

If you want an all-mountain ‘quiver killer’ snowboard that will do very well in any snow condition anywhere on the mountain, then the Burton Sherlock is that board. Even the Angry Snowboarder likes it.

What size snowboard to buy?
Select the snowboard size based on your weight according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. If you are between sizes, going with the smaller size can be easier to learn on. Snowboarders can often ride more than one size of the same snowboard.
